Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026

KosmosHub (kosmoshub.space) is an independent spaceflight tracking website. This policy explains what information the site handles, why, and the choices you have. The short version: most of the site works without an account, we collect as little as we can, and we never sell your data.

Information you give us

Accounts are optional. If you create one, we store your email address and how you sign in. KosmosHub is passwordless — there is no password to store. You sign in with your email or through your Google or Microsoft account. Your account also keeps preferences you set, such as your timezone and notification choices.

Launch alerts and notifications. If you subscribe to launch alerts we store what you subscribed to and how to reach you — by email, or through your browser if you enable push notifications. Unsubscribing removes the subscription.

Your location

Sky-watching features (like Sky Tonight) can use your location to work out what's visible from where you are. The browser asks for your permission first; if you grant it, your coordinates are sent to our servers only to calculate the sky for your position and are not used to build a profile of you. You can decline and set a location manually — the features still work.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites we collect technical usage data: pages viewed, session length, browser and device type, and approximate region. We use it in aggregate to understand what's being used — for example, how many people watched a launch's live coverage — not to identify individuals.

Analytics and advertising tags. The site uses Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag. These are Google services that use cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits and the performance of our own advertising for KosmosHub; Google describes its handling of this data at policies.google.com. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out and manage ad personalisation at My Ad Center.

Stored in your browser. Preferences like your selected timezone and theme are kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them between visits. They stay on your device unless you have an account syncing them.

Embedded content

Launch streams are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced player, which limits tracking until you press play. Posts from X (Twitter) are displayed by KosmosHub directly, without X's tracking scripts. When you follow a link to an external site, that site's own privacy policy applies.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your personal information, we don't share it with third parties beyond the service providers named above, and we don't run third-party ad networks on the site. The advertising described here is our own — ads we buy to promote KosmosHub — not ads shown to you on KosmosHub.

Your choices and rights

You can use almost all of the site without an account, decline location access, block cookies, and unsubscribe from any alert. To access, correct or delete data tied to you — including deleting your account entirely — email contact@kosmoshub.space and we'll action it. For who we are, see about KosmosHub.
