Japan Airlines (JAL) says @Starlink improved ZIPAIR’s onboard experience and helped drive revenue growth alongside flexible pricing. ZIPAIR became Asia’s first airline with Starlink across its entire fleet in May. April–September passenger revenue reached ¥42.9 billion, while seat occupancy jumped from 73.7% to 87.8%.

Starlink helped save a woman stranded in Colorado’s freezing mountains. A 37-year-old hiker was trapped in deep snow, unable to walk and suffering from cold injuries. Starlink became a lifeline for rescuers in England. A walker fell down a steep bank into a hornet’s nest near Wetheral. The rescue team had no mobile signal where they were training. Starlink in their control vehicle got the emergency call through. Rescuers reached the walker, used ropes to lift them up the bank on a stretcher, and carried them to an ambulance. Starlink helped save a sailor’s life far off New Zealand’s coast. A sailor became seriously ill and needed urgent medical help. Starlink connected the skipper with a doctor, who guided him through an emergency surgery while a rescue helicopter was on its way. Rescuers lifted him from the boat and flew him to hospital. Reaching town from her remote community could take two days on horseback. A visiting doctor brought a portable Starlink terminal and an ultrasound machine. In a comment to the FAA, SpaceX says it wants to launch 10,000 times per year. The FAA asked for input on where to build new spaceports and how to give rocket launches priority in US airspace. They're preparing for 10,000 launches a year by 2035. SpaceX replied that rockets aren't the bottleneck anymore, the FAA's outdated air traffic processes are. They created their own airspace tool (Cleared) that most major US airlines already get for free. They also noted that Starbase Louisiana is designed for ~30 launches and reentries PER DAY (!!)

easyJet has just announced that it will be installing SpaceX's @Starlink on its fleet. Installations will start in first half of 2027 across the airline’s modern A320, A320neo and A321neo fleet, with the rollout expected to be completed by early 2028.
